State police at the Hazleton barracks said Timothy L. Butler, 46, of Weatherly, had minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 11:51 a.m. Jan. 8 on Plane Street in Banks Township.

Police said he was transported by personnel from the Lehigh Valley Health Network EMS corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton.

They said he was driving a 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 eastbound when he experienced a coughing episode, causing him to drive off the road and strike a traffic sign and large boulder.

It had disabling damages and had to be towed from the scene.
