Penn State Extension will offer Christmas tree and nursery industry professionals the opportunity to earn pesticide applicator recertification credits while deepening knowledge of Christmas tree cultivation.
The “Christmas Tree Growers Meeting and Trade Show” will occur from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 6 at Capriotti’s Catering, 1 Banks Ave., McAdoo.
Landscape and turf care professionals can earn Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey and Delaware pesticide recertification credits while learning about topics such as Christmas tree management, pest control strategies, integrated pest management, species selection, water quality and chemical efficacy, soil testing, managing cash crunches and pesticide safety.
• Pennsylvania pesticide recertification credits are available in the following categories: core, PC, 05, 06, 18, 22 and 23.
• Maryland pesticide recertification credits are available in the following categories: 1A, core and private.
• New Jersey pesticide recertification credits are available in the following categories: 10, 1A, core and PP2.
• Delaware pesticide recertification credits are available in the following categories: PA, 1A, 02, 03 and 10.
