State police at the Lehighton barracks were called to Shelby Lane, Ross Township, to investigate a theft by deception report.

They said a 63-year-old Saylorsburg woman reported an identity theft incident that occurred between Feb. 1 and 28, 2025, when someone stole her Social Security benefits.
