NEPA Alliance is conducting the PA 611 Corridor Study to evaluate transportation needs and opportunities along the vital route in Monroe County.
Route 611 serves as a key north-south corridor connecting communities, businesses and recreational destinations. The study aims to identify improvements that enhance safety, reduce congestion and support economic growth while preserving the region’s character.
Public participation is essential. An open house on Jan. 21 (weather contingency date: Jan. 28) is the public’s chance to learn more about the project, ask questions and share feedback.
The open house will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Pocono Township Municipal Building, 205 Old Mill Road, Tannersville. A presentation will be made at 6 p.m.
The open house will offer a project overview: study goals, time frame and process; interactive displays: maps, data and potential improvement concepts; and engagement opportunities to ask questions and share ideas with the project team.
Input will help guide decisions that impact safety and mobility along Route 611.
