Lehighton is accepting applications to fill several open positions.

Borough council agreed at last week’s meeting to advertise for a borough mechanic at a starting pay of $27.24 per hour.

In addition, applications are sought for utility billing clerks, with a starting pay of $24.53 per hour.

Applications are also being accepted for an electrical lineman.

Starting pay for the position is $27.23 per hour.

Each position includes a full benefits package.

Applications for all three positions may be picked up in the borough secretary’s office.
