A woman was injured Sunday morning in a crash in Towamensing Township.

The accident occurred around 9 a.m. in the 4,000 block of Pohopoco Drive just east of Station Street. There had been numerous reports of black ice on the roadways at the time.

Responding were the Towamensing and Polk townships fire companies as well as the Palmerton ambulance and Lehighton paramedics. State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
