Panther Valley graduate Maddison Maynard and current Bloomsburg sophomore is having a solid season so far for the Huskies.

The former Panther standout had a breakout game last Friday night, pouring in a game-high 22 points and 17 rebounds — both career highs — to lead her team to a 65-57 victory over Slippery Rock. Then on Wednesday, she finished with 16 points and eight boards during a 76-45 win over Shippensburg.

Maynard has played in all 13 of her team’s games and has started seven of them. Maynard has now scored 101 points for an average of 7.8 per game and pulled down 72 rebounds for a 5.5 rpg average. She also has 14 assists, six steals and four blocks this season.

As a freshman last season, Maynard played in 26 games, averaged 2.4 points per game and 1.1 rebounds per contest.

The Huskies currently have a 7-6 record.
