Lower Towamensing Township took the following action on Monday:

• Announced that the Aquashicola Fire Company received a $50,000 Local Share Account Statewide Program grant for its electronic sign.

• Tabled the garbage specifications.

• Tabled the draft fireworks ordinance until the planning commission reviews it at their meeting.

• Adopted the alarm ordinance for penalties on nuisance calls for more than two in any given 365-day period.

• Agreed to advertise special meetings for the planning commission for six months (January through June), which will be held at 7 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month.
