State police at Lehighton - crashes

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following crashes:

• Kaleb M. Crostley, 21, of Lehighton, was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed after a one-vehicle crash at 7:41 a.m. Dec. 29 on Maury Road in Penn Forest Township.

He was uninjured in the incident.

Police said he was driving a 2007 Lincoln south when it struck a patch of ice, causing him to lost control of the vehicle. It struck a tree on the right side of the road.

The vehicle had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

• Dallas R. Miata, 31, of Lehighton, had suspected minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash at 2:15 p.m. Dec. 10 on Interchange Road in Polk Township.

Police said he did not require an emergency medical services transport from the scene.

They said the crash occurred when Helene Syracuse, 49, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2009 Infiniti that went out of control due to severe snow and ice conditions.

It traveled into the opposite lane and struck a 2011 Suzuki operated by Miata.

Police said both vehicles were towed from the scene.
