State police at Belfast - crashes

State police at the Belfast barracks reported the following crashes:

• Hilario Sierra Arriaga, 46, of Whitehall, was cited for after a two-vehicle crash at 4:47 a.m. Dec. 19 on Route 33 in Palmer Township. No one was injured in the incident.

Policed said he was driving a 2019 Dodge Charger northbound when he passed a 2013 Ford Focus operated by Aaron K. Ross, 34, of Saylorsburg, after which Arriaga lost control of the Charger, which traveled across both northbound lanes and hit a guide rail off the right shoulder of the road. The vehicle continued in the right northbound lane and was struck by a Focus, police said.

They said both vehicles were towed from the scene.

• Jaina C. Embley, 19, of Saylorsburg, was cited for following too closely after a two-vehicle crash at 4:29 p.m. Dec. 12 on Route 33 in Lower Nazareth Township. No one was injured in the incident.

Police said she was driving a 2007 Subaru Legacy that struck the rear of a 2024 Land Rover driven by Jami L. Ochs, 50, of Easton, after traffic had come to a halt on the highway.

Police said the Subaru was towed from the scene, while the Land Rover had functional damage but was able to be driven from the scene.
