The next meeting of the Sew What Quilt Guild is Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Palmerton Area Library.

The group will be making up kits to create small wall hangings with patriotic quilt blocks about the size of a placemat to offer to local merchants for display in their window to commemorate the 250th anniversary of this country. There will also be Show ‘N Tell.

The group will also announce the Sew What Guild’s Quilt Block Contest and distribute entry forms. The theme is Celebrating the USA 250th Anniversary. Entries are due by the June meeting. Judges are also needed.

Pat Piasecki will have a sew in for Quilts of Valor at her house on Feb. 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bring your own lunch. Pat will be supplying drinks.
