State police at Stroudsburg - crashes
State police at the Stroudsburg barracks reported the following crashes:
• Anthony R. Denero, 19, of Old Forge, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 9:06 a.m. Dec. 28 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township. He was uninjured in the incident.
Police said he was driving a 2017 Infiniti southbound and was negotiating a curve in the road when the vehicle went out of control, traveled off the road and hit a guide rail.
The car was heavily damaged, police said.
• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 1:49 p.m. on Dec. 25 on Route 115 in Hamilton Township.
Police said the crash occurred when a 16-year-old boy from Webster, New York, was driving a 2024 Subaru Outback stopped at a stop sign on the Route 33 off-ramp and proceeded into the intersection, where it was struck by a 2012 Ford Escape driven by Michael D. Glose, 71, of Pen Argyl.
Police said both vehicles had disabling damage.
• Bethany M. Motes, 25, of Stroudsburg, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 9:32 a.m. on Dec. 23 on Route 11 in Hamilton Township. She was uninjured.
Police said she was driving a 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage when it slid on the snow-covered roadway and struck a traffic island/curb.
The car had disabling damage.
• Injuries were averted in a two-vehicle crash at 12:14 p.m. on Dec. 20 on Route 115 in Hamilton Township.
Police said the crash occurred as Lorna M. Cobb, 72, of Saylorsbug, was driving a 2014 Subaru Forester southbound when it struck the back of a 2014 Jeep driven by Johel Abreu Sanchez, 42, of Brodheadsville.
Police said the Forester had disabling damage, while the Jeep had minor damage.
Cobb was cited for following too closely, according to police.
