Carbon-Monroe-Pike Drug and Alcohol Commission will hold online meetings for families affected by substance use Tuesday and Wednesday.

According to a Facebook post by the commission, the meetings, to be held on the TEAMS app, will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday and 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

The meeting is open to Carbon County residents only and aims to reach grandparents or family members raising children due to a loved one’s substance use.

“The primary goal and purpose of this group is to break the cycle of substance use disorder for future generations by providing support, education and resources to assist families in their own recovery,” the post states.

Topics will include understanding addiction, the effects of addiction on the family, grief and support and more.
