Members of the National Technical Honor Society and SkillsUSA at Carbon Career & Technical Institute sponsored a Winter Festival and collaborated on a Toys for Tots collection, coordinated by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves.

Their efforts helped bring holiday cheer to the community while supporting local children in need during the festive season. Fourteen technical areas worked together to collect toys for children in Carbon County.

The Radio Flyer wagon — built collaboratively by the carpentry, welding, auto collision, and precision machine technical areas — was filled with over 437 toys and recently presented to the Schuylkill/Carbon Marine Corps League.

Along with the toy collection, participants had the opportunity to paint a window in the school, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and cookies, and visit with Santa, adding extra warmth and festive cheer to the event.
