Nompumelelo Majoro, 23, of Frederick, Maryland, was injured in a one-car crash at 9:19 p.m. on Dec. 26 on Kunkletown Road in Eldred Township, police said.

He was transported by personnel from the Lehigh Valley Health Network EMS corps to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Monroe Campus, Stroudsburg, state police at the Lehighton barracks said.

The severity of his injuries, they said, is unknown.

Police said Majoro was driving a 2025 Nissan Sentra northbound when he lost control of it and it crashed while descending a hill and right curve on the snow-covered road.

The car was towed from the scene.

Majoro was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed, according to police.
