Setting his sights on a completion date of this winter, J.H. Evert, general contractor, said today that Palmerton’s handsome new high school is in its final stages on construction.
The acoustic tile work and plastering has been finished. Terrazzo work is nearly complete and steps are to be installed. The locker installation has been completed and the millwork is just about finished.
Workers are continuing with asphalt tile installation. Placing of kitchen equipment and the gymnasium floor began last week and the ceramic tile work is more than 75 percent complete.
When finished, it will give students of the Palmerton Area School District one of the finest buildings in the state.
