First Noon Year’s Eve event a success in Lehigh Twp.
The first Lehigh Township Noon Year’s Eve event was held at Bryfogle Park, Berlinsville on Wednesday.
Despite the freezing temperatures, about 200 people attended for the noon balloon and beach ball drop.
Karlee Farley, event organizer said, “We are so happy that this family friendly event for the community really came together. We hope to make this an annual event.”
She added, “I could not have done it without the help of volunteers. I want to thank the Lehigh Township Volunteer Fire Company for inflating our 1,700 balloons at their station and helping transport them, along with Lorah’s Farm tractor trailer, to Berlinsville Park. Among the balloons were 100 beach balls for the kids to take home.”
The Lehigh Township Lions Club provided free hot dogs and cocoa to everyone. There were games and music for the enjoyment of those attending.
