The Northern Lehigh 250 Committee is gearing up for a major community celebration in honor of America’s 250th Anniversary. The event, part of the nationwide America 250 festivities, will take place on May 9, 2026, from 2-8 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium on the Northern Lehigh School District Campus.

The day will feature live entertainment, food vendors and a variety of displays. Organizers are currently seeking historical reenactors, bands, entertainers and community participants to help make the celebration unforgettable. Opportunities include performing music, comedy, dance or skits, as well as showcasing historical exhibits, antique cars, fire apparatus and other unique displays.

“This is a chance for our community to come together and celebrate a milestone in our nation’s history,” the committee said in a statement. “We want local talent and organizations to be part of this historic event.”

The next 250 Meeting will be Jan. 7 at 7 p.m. at the Vigilant Fire Company, 110 S. Walnut St., Slatington.
