Andrew Kmetz was reelected president of the Hauto Fire Company during a reorganizational meeting held in the fire company headquarters.

Also reelected at the meeting were Michaelk Trusa, vice president; Stephen Stefancik, treasurer; and Hugo Diehl, secretary.

The company’s board of directors will be comprised of William Kissner, Stephen P. Stianche, Kmetz, Diehl, Trusa and Michael Taptich.

The volunteer fire company, which was organized on April 26, 1959, will resume work on the construction of a new fire hall next spring. The cost of the project is expected to exceed $20,000.

Ground was broken for the hall on a plot of land donated by the Lehigh Coal and Navigation Company.
