The official Carbon County kickoff of the America250 celebration will be held Jan. 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Memorial Park, 103 E. 10th St., Jim Thorpe.

The event is the start of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. Local organizations are invited to set up a table/tent to promote their groups and be a part of the celebration.
