Senior Center
The Panther Valley Senior Center announced the menu from Dec. 29-Jan. 2.
Monday: Lemon Fish, Scalloped Potatoes, Carrots, Pears or Ham and Cheese Sandwich.
Tuesday: Pork and Gravy, Sweet Potatoes, Wax Beans, Fruit Salad or Chicken Caesar Salad.
Wednesday: BBQ Brisket Sandwich, Corn, Cole Slaw, Melon or Tuna Sandwich.
Thursday: Center closed.
Friday: Center closed.
The center has also announced the following upcoming events:

Horseracing on Dec. 29 at 11 a.m.; Games on Dec. 30 at 11 a.m.; New Year’s Eve Party on Dec. 31 at 10:30 a.m.; Center closed on Jan. 1 and 2.
Scattergories on Jan. 5 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on Jan. 6 at 10:45 a.m.; Cornhole and Ax Throwing Game on Jan. 7 at 11 a.m.; Po-Keeno on Jan. 8 at 11 a.m.; Minute to Win It on Jan. 9 at 10:30 a.m.
Cards, Pool, Games, available daily from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. New members are welcome.

Hometown Hero banners
The Nesquehoning Veterans Banner program is now open for 2026.
If you would like to purchase a new banner, applications are available by calling one of the contacts below. Deadline to purchase a new banner is Feb. 5.
Also, if you purchased a banner to be displayed in 2023, 2024 and 2025, you have already been contacted and provided with the renewal information. Deadline for renewals is Jan. 30.

PV Library
The Panther Valley Public Library, 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, has announced that effective Jan. 2 evening hours will change.
Thursday hours will move to 5-7 p.m. Tuesday. Other hours of operation remain the same.
