A 33-year-old man from Farmingdale, New Jersey, is being charged after police said he stole 12 snowboards from the public storage area of the Blue Mountain Ski Resort, Blue Mountain Drive, Lower Towamensing Township.

State police at Lehighton said they were called there at 8:39 p.m. on Dec. 14.

They said a suspect in the theft was identified, contacted and requested to return the snowboards to the state police barracks, which he complied. He was then released.

In addition to the lodge, nine people are listed as victims of the theft of the snowboards, which are all listed as being valued between $700 and $900 each.
