Walnutport student places in 4-H competition

Lehigh County 4-H member Parker Haydt of Walnutport placed first this fall in the Pleasure Horse Driving class with his horse Skipa Star Goer at the 65th annual Pennsylvania State 4-H Horse Show at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center.

Team Horse Power, a statewide youth leadership initiative, provided hands-on educational clinics during the event.

Returning and new members were recognized for their service to the 4-H program, including Haydt for his second year serving on this team.

Champions received custom Wendell August Forge pewter plates, champion ribbons and embroidered jackets.

Reserve champions were awarded gift certificates donated by Perri’s Leather.
