A 67-year-old man from Northampton County has been sentenced to at least 110 years in prison for possessing child sexual abuse material, state Attorney General Dave Sunday said.
Ricky Raisner was sentenced by Northampton County Judge Brian Panella to 110 to 500 years on more than 50 felony counts. The Office of Attorney General won a trial conviction in July on all charges.
Panella noted the very young ages of the children involved in the images shown during the trial and the egregious acts depicted.
“We hope this sentence sends a clear message that possessing child sexual abuse material is exploitation and abuse of children, and will be treated with such severity in court,” Sunday said. “Our Child Predator Section continues to uncover individuals across the commonwealth viewing, collecting and sharing these vile materials — that work will not stop.”
The Child Predator Section responded to a tip and traced an IP address to Raisner’s Mount Bethel home. Agents executed a search warrant at the home and seized devices containing the abuse material.
The case was prosecuted by Senior Deputy Attorney General Michelle Laucella.
