State police at Stroudsburg - crashes

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks reported the following crashes:

• Tyshawn Dubois, 33, of East Stroudsburg, and Brandon J. Herbst, 29, of Stroudsburg, had suspected minor injuries after a three-vehicle crash at 5:45 p.m. Nov. 23 on Route 33 in Hamilton Township.

Police said Dubois was transported by personnel from the Lehigh Valley Health Network EMS corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Pocono Campus, East Stroudsburg, while Herbst refused an emergency medical services transport from the scene.

Police said the crash occurred when a 2012 GMC Terrain driven by Herbst, a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by Dubois and a 2025 Toyota RAV4 driven by Carlos Welch, 55, of Easton, were all traveling northbound as traffic was slowing due to a deer in the roadway.

The Terrain struck the rear of the RAV4, which hit a guide rail, after which the Grand Cherokee stuck the rear of the Terrain, police said. The Jeep then went out of control and hit an embankment.

All three vehicles were towed from the scene.

Welch was uninjured in the crash.

• Rick D. Montero, 33, of Albrightsville, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 12:19 p.m. Oct. 30 on Route 209 in Hamilton Township.

Police said he was transported by personnel from the St. Luke’s Emergency and Transport Services to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Monroe Campus, Stroudsburg, to be treated for unknown injuries.

Police said he was driving a 2019 Dodge Ram 2500 south when he lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a left curve in the road.

The pickup struck an embankment and rolled over. It was towed from the scene.
