All in the same night, Coaldale Borough gained a new council member, secretary/treasurer and zoning officer.

During a special meeting held in the Third Street borough hall, the council named Frank Hutta to fill a vacancy on its board created by the death of Linda Miller.

The solons then filled the vacant mayor’s position by appointing Francisco “Frank” Rodriguez to the post. He follows Richard Kellner, who resigned on Dec. 1.

The new secretary/treasurer will be Anissa Nunemacher. She takes over the part-time post previously held by Andrea Davis before her resignation, which was also effective Dec. 1.

And the new zoning officer in the borough will be Bertram Berk Jr. He succeeds Pete Sachon, who resigned in October.
