Blue Mountain Community Church

Sunday services: Blue Mountain Community Church, 25 Oak St., Palmerton, invites you to weekly Sunday services held at 8:45 and 10:30 a.m.

Upcoming: Blue Mountain Community Church will hold a Special Christmas Eve Service at 6 p.m. on Dec. 24 at Penn’s Peak, 325 Maury Road, Jim Thorpe. Everyone is welcome. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Come early for refreshments and photo opportunity. No reservations or tickets needed.

Tax collector hours

Palmerton Borough Tax Collector Raquel Lutton will be in the borough office on Monday, Dec. 29, from 6-9 p.m. to collect real estate and per capita taxes.

Payments can be made in money order, cashiers or certified check and cash. Personal and business checks are no longer accepted. This includes postmarked payments.

There is also a drop box at 790 Lafayette for payments.

Faith Alive Church

Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown), holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin. A contemporary service is held at 8:30 a.m., followed by Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m. A traditional service is held at 11 a.m.

ABC Food Pantry: Donations of canned goods and nonperishable food items can now be dropped off in the church lobby.

Jerusalem UCC

Jerusalem UCC, 545 Church Drive, Palmerton (Trachsville), holds worship services at 10 a.m. every Sunday in the church sanctuary. The Rev. Marian Johnson officiates.

Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church

Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 500 Church Drive, Palmerton, holds worship service every Sunday, beginning at 9 a.m.

The church has also announced the following upcoming events:

Meat pie sale: The church is taking orders for a meat pie sale. You can choose from chicken, pork, a chicken and pork mix or beef. Orders are due by Jan. 5. Pickup is from noon to 2 p.m. on Jan. 19.
