Palmerton Borough Council took the following action recently:

• Approved the first reading of an ordinance setting the 2026 tax rate.

• Approved the first reading of an ordinance for the Act 511 taxes.

• Council President Terry Costenbader praised the borough crew for its snow cleanup efforts from this week’s snowstorm.
