The driver of a sport utility vehicle escaped injury Sunday evening when he or she was involved in a crash along Route 309 in Tamaqua. The crash occurred around 6 p.m. in the northbound lanes just north of the border with West Penn Township. The driver was traveling north when the car went out of control, spinning out before coming to rest facing east. Tamaqua fire police maintained traffic control at the scene.
