In other wrestling action, Northwestern’s Luke Fugazzotto collected his 100th career pin during a boys win over Palisades.

Blue Raider
Tournament
Lehighton crowned four champions at the Blue Raider Tournament, which featured wrestlers from 11 schools.
Earning titles for the Indians were Blayr Strawser at 130 pounds, Kennedy Quinn at 136, Caeley Hinkson at 148, and Kailey Evans at 190.
Strawser registered falls in all three of her matches to earn her championship. Her pins came in 2:34, 1:11 and 1:26. Quinn also went 3-0 with three falls. She ended her matches in times of 51 and 17 seconds, and 3:45.
Hinkson also won three matches to stand atop the podium in her weight class. She gained a 30-second fall, a technical fall in 4:26 and an 11-1 major decision.
Evans gave Lehighton three champs by earning the crown at 190. She collected a pair of pins and 2:29 and 3:40.
The Tribe’s Claudia Pagotto (124), Lilly Klotz (142), Keza Moyer (148) and Alivia Reed (170) all finished runner-up in their respective weight classes, while Kailyn Smith (170), Zoey Diedel (112) and Mia Guy (118) each placed third. Cassidy Litts also turned in a fourth-place finish at 155.
Host Tamaqua crowned one champion as Jalissa Correa captured the 124-pound title. Correa went 3-0 with three decision wins, including one that was a sudden victory. The Raiders’ Rylin Arroyo earned second at 112, while Addison Trunk ended fourth at 112.
Jim Thorpe’s Madison Baksalary also turned in a second-place finish, earning runner-up at 235. Her teammates Eliana Valdes-Reed (148) and Giada Wise-Macchioni (170) placed fourth.

Northern Lehigh registered seven pins in gaining a 54-24 Colonial League victory over host Wilson.
Six of the seven falls came in the opening period, with Anna Trelease at 148 pounds turning in a 13-second mat slap.
Mackennah Mosser (100) and Alexis Fick (118) also posted pins in less than a minute, while other falls came from Autumn Khuu (130), Yana Holva (136), De’Ja Gold (155) and Emiko Lucas (190).

Pleasant Valley placed fourth in the six-team PM Gauntlet Tournament at Blue Mountain, going 2-3.
The Bears defeated Central Catholic and Allen, but fell to Tri-Valley, Blue Mountain and Sugar Valley.
Evan Gillespie went 5-0 for PV, recording four pins in under a minute while also receiving a forfeit victory. Patrick Decker added a 4-1 slate, picking up three falls and a forfeit.
Others Bears with winning records included James Weiss (3-1 with two pins), Shawn Radcliffe (3-2 with two pins) and Adis Vukel (3-2 with two pins).
N’western-Palisades
Luke Fugazzotto recorded his 100th career pin and was one seven falls on the night as Northwestern routed Palisades, 71-6.
Fugazzotto (215) flipped Will Kapp in 1:31, and he notched his 131st career victory (131-21). Other Tigers with pins were Noah Griffith (139), Trent Croll (145), Brayden Uricchio (160), Nolan Kuehler (172), and Vinnie Fugazzotto (189).
Northwestern also received forfeits from Logan Heeps (107), Mackenzie Case (114), Cooper Smith (121), Weston Killar (127), and Ian Zettlemoyer (285). Chase Sukanick (152) recorded a technical fall, 15-0, in 2:58.

In a key early-season Colonial League contest, Northwestern made good use of the foul line to pull out a 56-51 victory over host Catasauqua.
The Tigers outscored Catty by 11 points at the charity stripe and finished with an impressive 16-of-21 performance with their free throws.
Charlotte Gober was a perfect 6-of-6 at the line, while Olivia Reinhart went 5-for-5.
Reinhart finished with 15 points, while Natalie Conner collected a team-high 17 for Northwestern, which trailed at halftime.
For the Rough Riders, Hailey Jenkins tallied a game-high 25 points.

Tamaqua used a big third quarter to help pull away from Lincoln Leadership for a 40-21 non-league victory.
The Blue Raiders outscored the host team by a 12-3 margin in the third to extend what was a five-point halftime advantage.
Millie Black poured in a game-high 21 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for Tamaqua, while Lauren Ligenza tallied 14 points and collected 10 boards.
The Lions received a team-high 13 points from Jayde Rivera.

A furious fourth-quarter rally by Panther Valley came up just short as Pine Grove held on for a 48-45 Schuylkill League victory.
The Panthers trailed by 20 points heading into the final frame but nearly pulled off the comeback. Ajete Gjoca scored six points in the fourth for PV during a 23-6 period that almost prevented the loss.
Morgan Orsulak had 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Panthers, while Caroline Breslin finished with 11 and Gjoca chipped in with eight.
The Cardinals received a game-high 22 points from Lainey Fidler, who drilled five three-pointers.

Lehigh Valley Academy got off to a fast start and kept Tamaqua winless by earning a 59-36 non-league victory.
Anthony Azcuidiaz scored a game-high 17 points for the Jaguars, who raced to a 23-8 first-quarter lead.
The winners also received 15 points from Omar Hurt.
For the Blue Raiders, Gavin Edmonds tallied a team-high 11 points while Donovan Broadway chipped in with eight.
