The Pennsylvania Lottery said two winning Powerball with Power Play tickets from the Dec. 6 drawing, worth $100,000 each, were sold in Carbon and Chester counties.
In Carbon, the ticket was sold by the Wawa convenience store at 481 Route 940, East Side Borough.
The retailer will earn a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The two tickets each matched four of the five white balls drawn, 13-14-26-28-44, and the red Powerball, 7, to win $100,000, less applicable withholding. Without the $1 Power Play option, the tickets would have been worth $50,000 each. The Power Play multiplier drawn was two.
The Powerball jackpot has grown to an estimated $1 billion for Saturday night’s drawing after lottery officials said no ticket matched all six numbers drawn Wednesday night.
Winners are not known until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.
Pennsylvania Lottery proceeds benefit older residents.
