Senior Center
The Panther Valley Senior Center announced the menu from Dec. 15-19.
Monday: Spanish Rice with Ground Beef, Corn & Beans, Tropical Fruit or Turkey and Cheese Sandwich.
Tuesday: Ham, Sauteed Cabbage, Red Potatoes, Pineapples or Chef Salad with Turkey.
Wednesday: Meatball in Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Peas, Fruit Salad.
Thursday: Tomato Soup, Grilled Cheese, Orange or Chicken Salad.
Friday: Baked Fish, Pasta, Peas & Carrots Fruit Salad or Ham and Cheese Sandwich.
The center has also announced the following upcoming events:
Christmas Party on Dec. 12 at 10:30 a.m.
Minute to Win It on Dec. 15 at 10 a.m.; Guest Bingo with Andrea from Mahoning Valley Nursing Home on Dec. 16 at 10:30 a.m.; Drumming Exercise on Dec. 17 at 11 a.m.; Po-Keeno on Dec. 18 at 11 a.m.; Movie and Popcorn on Dec. 19 at 10 a.m.
Cards, Pool, Games available daily from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. New members are welcome.

Hometown Hero banners
The Nesquehoning Veterans Banner program is now open for 2026.
If you would like to purchase a new banner, applications are available by calling one of the contacts below. Deadline to purchase a new banner is Feb. 5, 2026.
Also, if you purchased a banner to be displayed in 2023, 2024 and 2025, you have already been contacted and provided with the renewal information. Deadline for renewals is Jan. 30, 2026.

PV Library
The Panther Valley Public Library, 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, has announced that effective Jan. 2 its evening hours will change. Thursday hours will move to 5-7 p.m. Tuesday. Other hours of operation remain the same.
