Monroe County Commissioners
The Monroe County commissioners approved the following items at their meeting on Dec. 3:
• Children and Youth Services — Service agreements from July 1 to June 30, 2026, with Deborah’s Safe Haven LLC, up to $200,000 for community group home; Pinkney’s Vineyard of Faith Ministries, up to $180,000, placement for young mothers and children; Pressley Ridge, up to $100,000, foster care and treatment foster care; and Youth Advocate Program, up to $150,000, home services.
• Fiscal/Grants — Submit the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Continuing County Adult Probation/Parole Grant application for $157,867.34, from July 1 to June 30, 2026; sign and submit the FY2025-26 Intermediate Punishment Treatment Program Initiative Grant application for $90,000 from July 1 to June 30, 2026.
• Information Services — Agreement with RJR Innovations, $12,237.50 for upgrade to Track-IT Management System; and contract extension with Thompson Reuters through Aug. 31, 2026, at a prorated amount of $41,352.70.
• Opioid grants from the Opioid Settlement Funds — Recovery Revolution, $50,000.
• Monroe County Correctional Facility — Intergovernmental agreement with the state of Pennsylvania acting through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to provide county inmates with valid Pennsylvania identification or driver’s license prior to release from prison to assist with reentry.
• Domestic Relations — Title IV contracts from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30, 2030, subject to the availability of federal funds, to attorneys: Janet Catina, James Gregor, Richard D. James, Donald M. Leeth, Megan Reaser and Victoria Strunk.
• Planning Commission — Receipt of the 2025 Water Quality/Study as prepared by the Monroe County Planning Commission and the Monroe County Conservation District.
• Use of Courthouse Square for Grand Hanukkah and Menorah Lighting on Dec. 12 through Jan. 5, 2026.
• Use of Courthouse Square and courthouse steps for Kwanzaa Celebration on Dec. 26 and Kinara Lighting from Dec. 12 through Jan. 4.
