Crystal Spring Tree in Farm in Mahoning Township once again supplied the Christmas tree in the Main Rotunda of the state capitol. The approximately 25-foot Douglas fir was lit Monday, with more than 2,400 LED lights and 1,700 handmade ornaments created by Pre-K for PA children and older adults. Senior centers supplying ornaments included: Jim Thorpe/Penn Kidder Senior Center, Lehighton Senior Center, Panther Valley Senior Center, Palmerton Senior Center, Slatington Senior Center

and Chestnuthill Community Center. The tallest tree in over a decade will be lit daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and the tree outside on the Capitol steps, also supplied by Crystal Spring, will be lit daily from 5: p.m. to midnight through Jan. 8, 2026. PHOTO COURTESY OF COMMONWEALTH MEDIA SERVICES.
