December 5, 1972 — Marian rallies from an 11-point second-half deficit to gain a 49-45 non-league victory over Liberty. Trailing by a 34-23 score in the third quarter, the Colts — coached by Bob Fulton — go on a 22-3 run to go ahead and take control. The winners use balanced scoring during the stretch as Dave Labosky scores six points during that time frame while Bernie Krupa, Phil Delpero and Ray Weiker all chip in with four. Weiker and Labosky both finish with double-doubles as Weiker collects 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Labosky finishes with 17 points and 15 boards.
