Walker remains president in Weatherly
The Weatherly School Board held a reorganizational meeting Wednesday in the LGI room.
Magisterial District Judge Joseph D. Homanko Sr. administered the Oath of Office to Barbara Sipler, Ryan Binder, and Nancy Mulvaney. Each of them were elected to a four-year term in November.
The school directors for the Weatherly School District are: William Knepper, April Walters, Barbara Sipler, Bonita Barbush, Nancy Mulvaney, Ryan Binder, Tyree Harris, and Gerard Grega. A 2-year board vacancy was expected to be named during the Caucus meeting, also on Dec. 3.
April Walters was reelected by the board members to continue as president of the school board. Tyree Harris was voted in as the vice president.
William Knepper was elected to be the school’s liaison to the Pennsylvania School Boards Association for a one-year term for 2026.
April Walters was elected as the school’s representative on the Carbon Career & Technical Institute’s Joint Operating Committee for a three-year term, ending December 2028. Ryan Binder was voted as the alternate representative for one year; December 2025 to December 2026. New board member Gerard Grega was elected as the CCTI Authority Board Member for a five-year term, January 2026 to December 2030.
Nancy Mulvaney will serve as the Tax Collection Committee Voting Delegate for one year (December 2025 to December 2026), and Tyree Harris will be the TCC Alternate Voting Delegate for one year; December 2025 to December 2026.
The school board also voted on the meeting schedule. The caucus meetings will be held 6 p.m. on Jan. 14, Feb. 4, March 4, April 8, May 6, June 3, Aug. 5, Sep. 2, Oct. 7, Nov. 4, and Dec. 2. No caucus meeting in July.
The regular monthly board meetings will be held at 6 p.m. on Jan. 21, Feb. 11, March 11, April 15, May 13, June 10, Aug. 12, Sep. 9, Oct. 14, Nov. 11, and Dec. 9. No meeting will be held in July.
