Nesquehoning man charged with assault

A Nesquehoning man waived assault and harassment charges to Carbon County Court of Common Pleas following a domestic dispute last month.

Todd Hamm, 35, of West Railroad Street, appeared for a preliminary hearing on the charges Wednesday. He has been free on $25,000 unsecured bail since the incident on Nov. 22.

According to court papers, Hamm got into a physical altercation with a woman, who was shoved in the doorway and struck her head against a wall.

He continued to shove her to the floor and strike her face with a closed fist, causing eye swelling and a loose tooth, court papers said.
