State police at Frackville - crashes

State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following crashes:

• Claudio D. Reyes-Ovalles, 42, of Tamaqua, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 4:39 a.m. Dec. 1 on the Interstate 81 connector in Kline Township.

Police said it is unknown whether or not he was injured as he left the scene after contacting the Schuylkill County Communications Center.

Police said he was driving a 2013 Subaru Impreza westbound when it traveled off the right side of the road and struck a guide rail. The car was towed from the scene.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 3:39 p.m. Nov. 30 at the intersection of Route 309 (Claremont Avenue) and Tide Road, Hometown (Rush Township).

Police said involved in the crash were Lindsey A. Figueiredo, 41, of Tamaqua, who was driving a 2020 Kia, and Dustin T. Steward, 42, of Weatherly, who was driving a 2002 Honda.

Police did not provide details of the crash.

• Watson V. Childs, 87, and Linda L. Childs, 84, both of Westdale, New York, were injured in a one-vehicle crash at 2:37 p.m. Nov. 29 on Interstate 81 in Kline Township.

Police said the severity of their injuries is unknown. They were transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton, by personnel from the McAdoo Fire Company Ambulance Association and the Lehigh Valley Health network EMS corps, respectively.

Police said the crash occurred as Watson Childs was driving a 2015 Ford F-150 northbound when it crossed both lanes, went off the highway and struck an embankment before overturning and coming to rest on its passenger side.

The pickup had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

Watson Childs was cited after the crash, according to police.

• Stevi N. Miller, 32, of Barnesville, had suspected serious injuries after a one-vehicle crash at 8:12 a.m. Nov. 26 on Clamtown Road (Route 443) in East Brunswick Township.

Police said she was transported by personnel from the Penn Mahoning Ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Campus, Salisbury Township.

Police said she was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe southbound and was negotiating a right curve in the road when the Tahoe slid on the oily road surface and went out of control, rolling over a number of times before coming to rest on its passenger side on the east shoulder of the road.

The Tahoe had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

Miller was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed after the crash, according to police.
