State police at the Lehighton barracks on Monday arrested a Kunkletown man on child pornography charges.
Graydon Henry Hoffner, 19, of 123 Harrity Road, Polk Township, Kunkletown, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Colleen Mancuso on charges of sexual abuse of children/child pornography possession, sexual abuse of children/child pornography dissemination and criminal use of a communications facility. All of the charges are felony 2 counts.
Bail was set in the amount of $5,000, unsecured, and a preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 2 before Mancuso.
Police said the incident was investigated by state police’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Computer Crime Task Force, and was initiated after a proactive probe into the dissemination of child pornography on file sharing networks.
They said a search warrant was executed on May 16, and a forensic examination of seized electronics followed, resulting in Hoffner being arrested this week.
