The Bach & Handel Chorale of Jim Thorpe will present the first of its three annual Christmas Concerts this Saturday, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 526 North St., East Jim Thorpe. The concert begins at 2 p.m.

The music takes the listener through the season of Advent up to the day of celebration of Jesus’ birth.

Musical selections include “O Come, O Come Emmanuel,” Bach’s Cantata 140 Final Chorus “Gloria sei dir gesungen,” Panis Angelicus, Mary’s Lullaby, Gounod’s “Nazareth,” Mary Did you Know, Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus and more. The audience will be able to sing along, too.

There is no admission fee, just a free-will offering.

The chorale will also perform Christmas concerts Dec. 13, 3 p.m., at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 158 Fish Hill Road, Tannersville; and Dec. 14, 3 p.m., at St. Paul’s UCC, 1249 Trexlertown Road, Trexlertown.

This marks the chorale’s 41st season. It features singers from all around the area.
