Lebanon Valley College recently recognized nearly 300 student-athletes who competed for the Flying Dutchmen during the fall season, including three from the Times News coverage area. Gabrielle Cinicola, of Jim Thorpe and a Jim Thorpe Area High School graduate, competed on the women’s soccer team. The Dutchmen posted a 13-4-2 record, their first winning season in four years, and reached the MAC Freedom semifinal. Jacob Hehn, of Andreas and a Tamaqua Area graduate, and John Klein, of Tamaqua and also a Tamaqua Area graduate, were both members of the football team. Lebanon Valley finished 6-5 overall and 6-3 in MAC play, earning its third postseason appearance in four years and competing in the Centennial-MAC Bowl Series.
