State police at Frackville

State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police are investigating a theft they were called to at 9 a.m. June 10 in which the victim is the Borough of Tamaqua.

They did not provide the details of the incident except to say they were called to East Broad Street to probe the theft of $2,844 in currency.

The public information report was released by police on Thursday.

• A 51-year-old man from New Philadelphia was charged with defiant criminal trespass after police were called to Ridge Road, Blythe Township, at 3:07 p.m. Nov. 23.

A 43-year-old man from Bath reported that he confronted the suspect on his property, advising the 51-year-old the property is posted with “no trespassing” signs.
