State police at Fern Ridge

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:

• Jacob DeMatto, 25, of Summit Hill, was cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to a domestic dispute at 9:10 p.m. Nov. 28 on Neola Road, Jackson Township.

The victim is a 20-year-old woman from Stroudsburg.

Police said DeMatto pushed his girlfriend and fled the scene.

• Sandra Valentin, 49, of Albrightsville, was charged with criminal mischief after police were called to Spokane Road, Penn Forest Township, at 5:12 p.m. Oct. 24.

Police said she arrived at the residence of a 56-year-old Albrightsville man and damaged a Ring Video Doorbell camera with a baseball bat.

The damage was estimated at $99, police said.

• Police were called to the Mountain Laurel Golf Course, East Side Borough, at 8:45 a.m. Nov. 24 to investigate a criminal mischief incident.

A 62-year-old man from Wyoming, Pennsylvania, reported that someone smashed a double-pane glass side door of an office building on the golf course grounds.

Police said there was no evidence that the building was entered after the glass was broken.

An investigation that includes the reviewing of security footage is ongoing.

• Police said a 35-year-old woman from Effort is the victim of a Protection From Abuse order violation they were called to at 11 p.m. Nov. 23 on McKinley Drive, Chestnuthill Township.

She told police the suspect who has the order against him showed up at the residence unannounced, entered it and engaged in disruptive behavior.

• Michael J. Sroke, 68, of Effort, was cited for disorderly conduct after police were called to Adie Drive, Chestnuthill Township, at 10:35 a.m. Nov. 22.

Police said the victim is a 52-year-old man from Effort.

They said Sroke drove onto his neighbor’s property and began honking the horn on his vehicle. When the man did not immediately exit his residence, Sroke drove closer to the house and continued honking the horn. When the man exited the house, Sroke yelled at the man about issues stemming from an old dispute, police said.

They said the parties were separated after a verbal altercation.

• Frank Fishon, 78, of Blakeslee, was cited for retail theft (shoplifting) after police were cited to the Turkey Hill Minit Mart, 1231 Interchange Road, Gilbert, Chestnuthill Township, at 9:29 a.m. Nov. 23.

Police said Fishon took a pack of Lucky Strike cigarettes valued at $8.65 from a counter and left the store.
