Faith Alive Church

Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown), holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin. A contemporary service is held at 8:30 a.m., followed by Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m. A traditional service is held at 11 a.m.

ABC Food Pantry: Donations of canned goods and nonperishable food items can now be dropped off in the church lobby.

Blessed ministry: The Blessing Room is open to the general public. Anyone who needs food or clothing, contact Jan Lazarchak at jklpta@yahoo.com. Gently used clothing donations are also being accepted by appointment.

Choir: The choir will present “A Christmas Concert” in December. Rehearsals for the event are held in the choir room across from the nursery. Call the church office for more information.

Jerusalem UCC

Jerusalem UCC, 545 Church Drive, Palmerton (Trachsville), holds worship services at 10 a.m. every Sunday in the church sanctuary. The Rev. Marian Johnson officiates.

Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church

Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 500 Church Drive, Palmerton, holds worship service every Sunday, beginning at 9 a.m.

The church has also announced the following upcoming events:

Coat drive: The church will be holding a coat drive to help those in need and are accepting all gently worn coats in sizes children to adults. This drive will continue through the end of November.

Sing-a-long: A Christmas Sing-a-long will be held at the 9 a.m. service on Nov. 30. It will be shared with the men’s singing group “Lost & Found” to start off the Christmas season with beautiful advent/Christmas music.

Community Christmas event: On Dec. 14, parents can shop for free stocking stuffers for their children during a free community Christmas event. Stocking stuffers will include toys, personal items, snacks and crafts. Parents can choose two of each item for their children ages 2-10. The church will also be giving those parents a dozen holiday cookies. Families can also register to win a free Christmas ham or turkey. Free gift wrapping for up to five gifts. There will also be Support Our Troops Christmas cards available to sign.

Meat pie sale: The church is taking orders for a meat pie sale. You can choose from chicken, pork, a chicken and pork mix or beef. Orders are due by Jan. 5. Pickup is from noon-2 p.m. on Jan. 19. To place an order, call the church office at 610-681-5200, or 610-681-5020, or 610-577-6332.
