State police at Fogelsville - crashes

State police at the Fogelsville barracks reported the following crashes:

• Angelic C. Figueroa, 39, of Kempton, was uninjured when the vehicle she was driving struck a deer at 6:29 a.m. on Nov. 10 on Kistler Valley Road, Lynn Township.

Police said she was operating a 2013 Dodge Caravan eastbound when the deer entered the roadway and was hit.

The Caravan had disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 9:27 a.m. on Nov. 6 at the intersection of Madison Street and Camp Meeting Road, Lynn Township.

Police said it involved a 2016 Dodge Durango driven by Joseph M. Krauchick, 19, of New Tripoli, and a 2014 Toyota RAV4 driven by Karen Schellhamer, 65, of New Tripoli.

Police did not provide the details of the crash.

• Police responded to a hit-and-run crash at 9:37 a.m. on Oct. 11 on Kistler Valley Road.

They said a 2007 Dodge Nitro was northbound on Schochary Road preparing to turn left onto Kistler Valley Road when the driver failed to stop at a stop sign and pulled out in front of a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Dale R. Dengler, 67, of Orefield, causing the collision.

Police said that after the crash, the driver of the Nitro exited the vehicle and attempted to provide Dengler his insurance information.

When Dengler said he preferred to wait for police to arrive, the driver of the Nitro returned to his vehicle and fled the scene.

Police said the Grand Cherokee had functional damage.
