November 21, 1980 — Colin Dorshimer carries 24 times for 112 yards and two touchdowns to help Pleasant Valley gain a 33-14 Centennial League victory over rival Pocono Mountain in the battle for the “Old Oaken Bucket.” The Bears, coached by Tony Caracio, also receive a pair of TD runs from Brian Hommer. After the Cards open the scoring, PV scores three times in the second quarter — a 3-yard run by Hommer, 4-yard run by Dorshimer and a 53-yard pass from Mark Hogrelius to Alan Johnson. The Bears secure the victory in the fourth frame when Dorshimer ends an 11-play drive with a 10-yard tally and Hommer reaches the end zone on a 14-yard run moments after an interception by Mike Schelier.
