Turnpike crashes

State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following crashes that occurred on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:

• Police were called to a hit-and-run crash that took place at 6:09 a.m. Nov. 13 at mile marker 93.5 in Kidder Township.

They said an unknown vehicle traveling south made contact with the rear trailer area and front passenger’s side of a 2022 International Harvester driven by Kenneth L. Sutton, 57, of Baltimore, Maryland, which was stopped along the right berm due to engine issues.

Police said the striking vehicle, described as a tractor-trailer, continued southbound without stopping.

• Frank J. Bokan III, 26, of Lehighton, was cited after a one-vehicle crash at 1 p.m. Nov. 4 at mile marker 74 in Mahoning Township, police said. He was uninjured in the incident.

Police said he was driving a 2014 Toyota RAV4 southbound when it traveled onto the right shoulder of the road and hit an orange traffic sign.

• Mark D. Christman, 42, of Kunkletown, was uninjured when a vehicle he was driving struck a deer at mile marker 66.6 in Washington Township at 3:50 a.m. Oct. 21.

Police said he was driving a 2015 Jeep southbound at the time.

• No one was hurt in a one-vehicle crash at 4:18 p.m. Nov. 13 at mile marker 70.4 in Washington Township.

Police said it happened when Bobby Dilan Colon, 27, of Bethlehem, was driving a 2015 Ford F350 southbound when he failed to keep the vehicle in the right lane of travel. It went onto the shoulder of the road and struck two roadside signposts in a sideswiping manner.

The vehicle sustained disabling damages and had to be towed from the scene.

• Alexandra N. Rosser, 21, of Orangeville, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 1:41 p.m. Nov. 9 at mile marker 90.1 in Kidder Township.

Police said she was driving a 2022 Subaru southbound when she lost control of it. The car struck an embankment on the west shoulder of the road and overturned onto its roof.

• Dylan L. Kittle, 22, of Shickshinny, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 9:05 p.m. Nov. 5 at mile marker 75.8 in Franklin Township.

Police said he was driving a 2020 Dodge Ram truck northbound that struck a metal construction sign in a work zone.

The truck had disabling damages to its undercarriage.
