State police at Frackville

State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:

• Michael Sura, 43, of New Philadelphia, is facing a charge of theft of a motor vehicle after police responded to an incident at 9:26 p.m. Nov. 12 on Valley Street in New Philadelphia.

Police said a 65-year-old New Philadelphia man reported his 1998 Chevrolet Cheyenne had been stolen from his property.

They said Sura was determined to be the thief. He was later taken into custody without incident.

• Police were called to Fern Terrace, Rush Township, at 8:51 p.m. Nov. 10 when drugs were found.

No other information on the incident was provided by police.

• A 55-year-old woman from Delano is the victim of a theft by deception incident police were called to at 8 a.m. Nov. 2 on Hazel Street in Delano Township.

She told police there was an unauthorized charge of $300 on her debit card.

• An 11-year-old girl from New Ringgold was cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to Fairview Street, Rush Township, at 11:33 a.m. Nov. 2.

Police said the victim is an 11-year-old girl from Tamaqua. She told police they were involved in a verbal altercation over “face painting” that escalated when the New Ringgold girl pulled the other girl’s hair and kicked and punched.

• A 67-year-old woman from New Ringgold is the victim of a theft by deception incident police were called to at noon Oct. 15 on Pine Valley Road, East Brunswick Township.

She told police she sent $300 to someone on Facebook listed as “Anna Flora” in exchange for two emu eggs and an incubator but never received the products.
