The four-hour telethon on Blue Ridge Cable Television 13 last night raised $11,788 for the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital Fund and was termed “fantastic” by Samuel Dolgopol, general drive chairman.

Pledges were phoned to the Blue Ridge studio during the show that was hosted by Tom McCartney, Mahoning Valley, with the help of Gene Manning, WCAU; Bob Brown, WYNS; Guy Randall Ackley, WAEB; and Thom Tkach, WLSH.

The entire production did not cost Gnaden Huetten one cent as all the acts were performed without pay and all equipment, tape and cameras were manned by Blue Ridge officials, whose time was paid for by the company.
