Weatherly School board member resigns

Weatherly School Board member Kenneth Jacoby III advised the board that the Nov. 12 meeting was his last meeting.

Jacoby did not specify a reason for resigning.

“I appreciate everyone’s support, and I wish you continued success and nothing but the best for the future,” Jacoby said.

On Dec. 3, the Weatherly School Board will hold a reorganizational meeting at 6 p.m. in the MS-LGI Room to swear in school board members following the November elections. Jacoby’s seat was not part of the election, so the school board will look at how to fill his position.

“We might need a special meeting,” Board President April Walters said. “I would like to see that person be sworn into office at the same time as the others.
